Sweet Clarity...

Updated: Mar 7, 2021

Clarity begins at home - well, in the mind at least!

'Why am I feeling this way?', 'Where do I go from here?', 'Who am I, really?', 'I don't know what I am supposed to do?', 'I don't like where I am at right now.'...

These are very common questions clients have when they come to me for their first Breathwork session. The questions may not be as direct as these, however, they are the gist of why so many come to Breathwork Therapy.

It may be a point of their life that has been brewing for a long time, or just reaching a point/time in their life where they recognise that change is needed. This could be for all sorts of reasons - physical, mental, emotional or spiritual - or all of them!

However, they are stuck in the void of 'not knowing'. They don't know what they don't know, but they know that they need to know something!

The mind has become a maze of thoughts taking them in all directions and yet leading to another dead-end. They want to get to the core of what they are needing to know so that they can then continue with their life evolution.

We know the answer is within us, but we just can't seem to find it. We can spend months, or even years, navigating the maze, and still not get to the solution we are seeking.

The reality is, it isn't about navigating the maze, you need to knock down the walls of the maze! It creates a far more direct route!

So, what are the walls of the maze made of?

Self-doubt; conflicting wants; people pleasing; fear; anxiety; the unknown; indecision; current comfort zone; past experience; unresolved trauma; ignorance; apathy; family history - anything that is clouding their thought process.

We can easily quiet the mind with various breathing exercises - meditation, yoga, tai chi, etc. It all helps. But just quieting the mind is often not enough. It will reduce the stress we are feeling about the situation, but not necessarily solve the problem.

Breathwork Therapy with a qualified and experienced practitioner will also use the breath to quiet the mind, however, once that is done, it goes much deeper to access our subconscious.

It is in the subconscious we can find the walls. The breath excavates the foundation of them, discovers what is supporting them, and then knocks them down. The breath then removes the debris - clearing your path to clarity.

Whatever maze your mind is in right now, Breathwork Therapy can help you to clear your path to clarity, and harness your personal evolution to where you want to be!
